CVE-2026-60137: WordPress core SQL injection via WP_Query author__not_in
Exploited in the wild Medium 5.9 EPSS 5.3% WordPress core
WordPress 6.8 and later do not properly sanitise the author__not_in parameter of WP_Query, so SQL injection is possible when a plugin or theme passes untrusted input to it. On WordPress 6.9 and later it can be chained with the REST API batch-route confusion bug CVE-2026-63030 to reach remote code execution on default installs. Fixed in 7.0.2, 6.9.5 and 6.8.6 on 17 July 2026 (WordPress forced auto-updates); CISA added it to KEV on 21 July 2026.
